Every person has a right to health - not just the absence of disease, but also a state of complete physical, emotional and mental well-being.
VISION & MISSION
Our purpose is to create healthier futures for women and girls in Nicaragua through a women-driven model of development and care.
The Lily Project delivers essential sexual health services through an innovative model that combines in-person care provided by Lily’s mobile clinics with virtual care enabled by digital technologies to reduce the rate of cervical cancer and improve the sexual health of women in rural Nicaragua. Launched in 2016, The Lily Project has provided sexual health services to more than 20,000 women.

Grassroots Innovation: We believe sustainable change comes from the people closest to the problem, who understand the interests and values of the communities involved and have the will to overcome the barriers inherent within the culture and environment.
Women For Women: Truth is women care more about Lily’s work. They want to make a better world for other women. They want to make a better world for their children. And they know it is up to them to make it happen.
PILLARS
Collaboration: We know the only way we will stay successful and grow our impact is by being part of a strong network with others who share our interest and want to work together to achieve a common goal.
Data driven development: The Lily Project’s strategy is firmly rooted in research and data analysis. We test and learn to change. We track and measure results to improve performance and ensure accountability.

VALUES-BASED
LEADERSHIP
From the first meeting when we created our values I could see that Lily’s most important priority is the growth and personal development of each one of us - teaching and motivating us to offer the best of ourselves in everything we do.

IN MEMORY
On June 26th, 2020, The Lily Project lost a guiding light, our
esteemed medical director Dr. Alvaro Garcia, to COVID-19. He
was a practicing physician and professor in obstetrics & gynecology for 35 years in Nicaragua. We are forever grateful Dr. Garcia chose to devote so much time and attention to Lily - setting policy, training staff and most importantly mentoring Anielka. We miss him dearly.
The Lily Project is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law - EIN/Tax ID Number: 47-4625010.
